The church in Frydendal is a long church from 1879, designed by the architect Henrik Nissen. Before 2006 the church was called "Ytre Søndeled church", but since then the parish of Ytre Søndeled has been merged with the parish of Risør to form a new parish of Risør.

Risør Church from 1646 is a white-painted cruciform church with a vestry behind the chancel in the east and a tower in front of the entrance in the west. Although Risør is one of the oldest settlements in Sørlandet, and was previously an important hub for the Dutch timber trade, it is the first church built on the site. The interior of the church underwent several changes during the 19th century.
The Søndeled church is a medieval church from the middle of the 12th century. Before 1879 the church was the only church in Søndeled. It was built in stone in the Middle Ages and was transformed into a cross church with a wooden extension around 1785.
Laget church is a long church from 1908. The church was designed by Henrik Nissen and built by builder Theodor Christensen. The church was titled as a chapel in the beginning and was often mentioned, but in the anniversary book from 2008, it was titled as a church.
