Grønland Church was achieved in 1869. The brick building is of a neo-Romanesque style. Because of its acoustic, the church is widely used for concerts.

Grønland Church

Grønland church, which was consecrated in 1869, is characterized by neo-Romanesque forms both outside and inside. It is built in unpainted red brick according to the drawings of architect A. F. W. von Hanno, who had completed the Trinity Church in Oslo in 1858.

Tøyen Church

Tøyen church is a long church dating from 1907. The church was a small parish church in Greenland from 1907 until its closure in 1984. In 1990 it was rehabilitated and used by the Church City Mission (a Norwegian diaconal foundation that does social work as well as religious activities), which has its headquarters here.
