The Monastery of Agios Nikolaos Ntiliou also known as Monastery Dili or Strategopoulos is one of the seven monasteries of Ioannina Island. It was probably founded in the 13th century by the Stratigopoulos family, refugees who fled the Sack of Constantinople in 1204.
The Agios Nikolaos Monastery of Philanthropenoi was built at the end of the 13th century and is the oldest of the seven monasteries on Ioannina Island. During the apogee of the monastery, in the 16th century, the building was considerably enlarged.
The monastery of Agia Eleousa, originally named Agios Nikalaos Methodatos Monastery, was probably begun in the 16th century and completed in the 18th century. It is one of the seven monasteries on Ioannina Island.
The monastery of Profitis Ilias is located on the highest point of the island and was probably founded in the 15th century.
