Monastery and Basilica of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, Šaštín-Stráže

The Church of St. Margaret of Antioch in Kopčany is the only authentic, almost completely preserved Great Moravian church with its original use and function. The building was originally part of the Slavic hillfort in nearby Mikulčice, where the remains of the foundations of several churches from this period have been found.

The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary is a neo-Gothic parish church built in 1895-1898. The church was built with the support of John II, Prince of Liechtenstein (1858-1929), under the direction of the architect Karel Weinbrenner. As a model for the construction of the church, Weinbrenner chose the Viennese Church of Our Lady of Victory by the architect Friedrich Schmidt.

The Synagogue in Malacky is an Ashkenazi synagogue completed in 1886 by architect Wilhelm Stiassny. The synagogue was repaired in 1900, the 1950s and the 2000s. In use until WWII, this brick synagogue in the Neo-Moorish style now serves as an Art centre.
