Monastery of the Holy Trinity, Slavonski Brod
The Monastery of the Holy Trinity is a Franciscan Monastery located on the left bank of the Sava River, in the Croatian region of Slavonia. It is one of the largest Baroque ecclesiastical complexes in the northeast of Croatia.
About this building
According to historical records, a wooden monastery and church existed on the site before the construction of the current monastery in 1727. The monastery served educational and economic purposes while the church was used as the local parish.
A major renovation was carried out after the First World War, which included the restoration of the Baroque inventory, primarily the altar in the church.
