The pretty white church of St James in Charlestown, Baildon is a late 19th century painted tongue and groove timber building. It was moved to Yorkshire from Essex by traction engine in 1904.

A Cathedral of Congregationalism'.
The Reform Synagogue in Bradford is an Ashkenazi synagogue built in 1880-81 by architects T.H. and F. Healey. The synagogue was rebuilt in 1956 and 2013. This stone building in the Neo-Moorish and Victorian style still serves as a synagogue.
The Church of St. Chad, built in 1868, is a neo-Gothic church. Transformed in 1909-11, an organ was also added. Restorations were carried out in 1988 and 2011. In 2007, St Chad's won the Eco-Congregation Award.
