Hillside Church, Gateshead
Hillside Church, also known as the All Saints Church, was built in 1939 by Canon Stevenson. Since then, the church has occupied an important place in the community.
About this building
The church is known for its finely painted reredos in the Lady Chapel, said to have come from the chapel at Ravensworth Castle. The 16th century stained glass window depicting the crucifixion has recently been reinstated.
