Monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres

The monastery is located on a peninsula surrounded by the river Ter, next to the rocky walls of the cliff. During the 20th century the historical importance of the place was appreciated and several initiatives led to its protection, transfer to public ownership and restoration.

The legend goes that three days after the birth of a child, he spoke, prophesied that he would die very soon, and indicated that his body should be placed on a horse and that wherever he went and stopped, a monastery should be built and dedicated to Saint Peter.

Casa Templaria de Prat

The Prat House was a dependency of the Templar commandery of Tortosa that was established in the mid-13th century on land owned by the Order of the Temple by royal donation in 1182. It lasted only a short time in the mid-13th century.

Church of Sant Romà

The Church of Sant Romà is a Lombard Romanesque building built in the 11th century and consecrated in 1062. It was seriously affected by an earthquake in the 15th century and was later renovated and enlarged. Since the construction of the Sau reservoir in the 1960s, it has been submerged underwater with the rest of the village, but in times of drought, it can be accessed.

Vic Cathedral

Vic Cathedral was first built during the episcopate of Bishop Oliba de Vich (1018 and 1046) in Romanesque style and was consecrated in 1038 by Archbishop Wilfred of Narbonne.
