Church of our Lady of the Angels (Paniza)

The church of Santa Ana in Mainar (Province of Zaragoza, Spain) is a church built in the second half of the 16th century by order of Don Hernando de Aragón and constitutes the most complete example of a late Mudejar church of those existing in Aragon.

The church of Santa María de Tobed is a fortress-Gothic-Mudejar church built between 1356 and 1385. Erected by the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Calatayud, it is a prototype of a church fortress, a concept unique in Spain at the time. On the outside, it is designed for defence, with a peripheral gallery and a defence radius. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 6 other Aragonese monuments.

The church of Nuestra Señora de la Piedad in Azuara (Province of Zaragoza, Spain), originally responded typologically to the Mudejar fortified church model, so widespread in Aragon during the Late Middle Ages. It was built in the second half of the 14th century, it had a straight chancel and a wide single nave with two sections with side chapels covered with a pointed barrel.

This construction was modified in the 18th century, at which time the orientation of the church was changed, the entrance was enabled through the old chancel, where a high choir was built, and a new presbytery was opened on the opposite side, preceded by a large domed transept in baroque style.
