Magnuskerk
The organ in Bellingwolde was built by Heinrich Hermann Freytag and Frans Caspar Snitger jr. It was completed in 1797. It has no back work. Over the years, the organ has undergone a lot of work. However, not much has changed. In 1931, the Van Dam company replaced the Dulciaan of the Hoofdwerk with a Violon 8' and the Sesquialter with a Gamba 8'. In 1992, AH de Graaf carried out a restoration and reconstruction, so that it now looks as it did in 1797. Stef Tuinstra was the advisor during the restoration. Since the restoration, the Bourdon 16' has had two positions, so that only the notes C-cis sound when the registers are half drawn. In 2019, the Elbertse company carried out major maintenance, as well as cleaning work. Under the advice of Stef Tuinstra, work was also done to improve the playing character and mechanisms, but with great restraint. The work was completed in April 2020. On May 16, 2020, the instrument was put back into use during an open afternoon.
