The present church was built in 1830/31 on the same site as one dating from the middle 15th century. Many interesting treasures are waiting to be found within.

Stainfield St Andrews celebrates the rich heritage of this beautiful Queen Anne church, built on the site of an early 12th century Benedictine nunnery, now medieval parkland in the Lincolnshire Limewoods. Admire the recently redecorated building, sit quietly and enjoy the tranquil setting.
Built of greenstone in the early English style, St Margaret's is partly 13th century with traces of Norman and the external features mainly Victorian.
The inside arcades are 13th century and both are of four bays with low double chamfered arches. The octagonal font was originally square and is a link with Norman times.
