Santa Maria della Spina is a small Gothic church built in 1230 by the Gualandi family. In the 19th century, the church, while still standing on the banks of the Arno, was rebuilt on a more stable ground. Currently, the church is used to host exhibitions of contemporary art.
The church of San Michele in Borgo was built with a Benedictine monastery from the 11th century. It is noted for its facade of the 13th-14th century which unlike the rest of the building, was spared by the bombings of the Second World War. Restoration work has been ongoing since 1986.
San Nicola was probably built in the 11th century as part of a convent. The church is famous for its bell tower, a possible addition of the 13th or 14th century when the Augustinians enlarged the church.
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is an octagonal church built in the twelfth century as part of an architectural ensemble belonging to the order of the Knights Hospitallers. In 1817, when this order was abolished, it suffered a period of degradation until a restoration undertaken in 1849.
