St. Kinga's Chapel is located 101 metres underground and is one of the biggest attractions of the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The chapel is an example of a travelling chapel whose furniture could be moved by miners to other rooms closer to their workplace. The room in which the chapel was placed dates back to the 19th century. Inside the chapel are two 17th century wooden baroque figures.
St. Sebastian’s Church in Wieliczka was built in 1581 using larch wood, and then rebuilt in the C18th.
The church of the Nativity of the Lord and St. Bartholomew the Apostle is a wooden temple founded in the 12th century in the former village of Mogiła. The current building dates from the 18th century.
The Sanctuary of Divine Mercy is a Roman Catholic temple dedicated to the devotion of the Divine Mercy. It was between 1999 and 2002 as part of historic complex of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. It receives millions of pilgrims every year.
