Varaždin Cathedral

The Cathedral of Varaždin was built in the 17th century, and became a cathedral in 1997. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Varaždin, covering Northern Croatia. Its architecture is in the baroque style and was originally built by the Jesuits.

Church of Saint George

The church of St. George is a Serbian Orthodox church. The construction of the building was completed in 1884. The church was built after the design of Žigo Balo?anski and executed by Radoslav Atzinger. The building has a Neo-Byzantine style with Neo-Romanesque elements.

Capuchin Church and Monastery, Varaždin

The Capuchin Church and Monastery in Varaždin were built at the beginning of the 18th century after the religious order obtained permission to settle in the town. Following the typical style of Capuchin buildings, its design is very simple. It is dedicated to the Blessed Trinity.

Chapel of the Holy Cross

The Chapel of the Holy Cross is located in Batthyany Castle, dating from the 14th century. The chapel is also called the Chapel of Miracles because the miracle of the Holy Blood of Christ took place there in 1411. In the 18th century, a large dome painted with scenes of the Holy Trinity and the four Evangelists was erected above the chapel.
