Marianów Monastery

The construction of the Church of St. Mary began in 1292, but the present structure was built in the 14th - 15th centuries. The façade is richly decorated with ceramics, the towers were built from around 1380. The north tower must have been completed around 1410. The interior of the church contains wall paintings from the 15th to the 18th century.

The church of St. John was built in the 13th century as a chapel. From 1408 the construction of the tower and the nave began. In 1892/93 a neo-gothic tower helmet was put on and the tower was raised to a height of 99 metres. The furnishings include a late Gothic choir stall from the Augustinian church, three 17th century tombstones, which were brought to one of the chapels in the choir gallery.

Bierzwnik Monastery is a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1286. With the Reformation, the monastery was closed and converted into farm buildings of a new estate created by the Margrave. The monastery church was rebuilt in the 19th century. Nowadays only the east and south wing floors, fragments of the cellars of the west wing and elements of the west cloister remain.
