Ibestad church

The Ibestad church was consecrated in 1881. Originally, only a new, larger nave was to be built for the old medieval church on the site, but the choir and sacristy, which dated from the 1770s, were too poor to be restored, so the church was demolished. Most of the stones on the walls of the new church probably came from the old medieval church. The interior is characterized by neo-gothic style.
