Sankt Jetmund church, also known as 'Jetmunds church' or 'Åheim church', was first built in the 12th century. It was demolished in 1863, but rebuilt and consecrated again in 1957. The architects involved in the reconstruction were Johan Lindstrøm and Cato Engen.

Vanylven Church is a long church from 1863, designed by the architect Georg Andreas Bull. Part of the inventory, for example, the old church bell, was moved to St. Jetmund's Church in Åheim. The church roof was rebuilt in slate in 1868.
The Selje church, inaugurated in 1866, is a project of the architect F. H. Stockfleth. It is built in a relatively simple Gothic-Swiss style, with a gable-shaped window frame and exceptional quality carpentry work on the walls. The church is located on the shore and overlooks the island of Selje to the west.
The Syvde church is a long church consecrated in 1837. According to the church law of 1851, the church was too small and had to be enlarged in 1870-71. In 1907 the nave was extended and the church received a new west tower and a new porch. The extension of the sacristy dates from the 1950s. The church was also restored in 1971, 1988 and 2014.
