The Bjugn church was consecrated in 1956 after the old church burned down in 1952. Much of the furnishings come from the old church: the altarpiece, paintings and baptismal font. The altarpiece is from 1520, probably made in Northern Germany.

Austråt Castle Chapel was built in brick around 1200. Mrs Ingerd Ottesdatter (1475-1555) was one of the most prominent and atypical owners of Austratt. She played an important role in Norwegian history, especially in connection with the introduction of the Reformation. The main building was constructed in her time. The eastern part, the chapel and the tower, date from 1150-1220 and are therefore much older.
The Nes church is a long church built in 1878-79. A church was built on Nes between 1520 and 1536, south of the place where the present church stands. When the present church was built, the old church was demolished and rebuilt under the name Austefjord Church.
Heggvik Church, also called Stjørna Church, is a stone church built in a long church style in 1858. The construction was based upon designs by architect Christian Heinrich Grosch (1801–1865).
