Hosanger Church

The Hosanger Church is a long fortified church dating from 1796. The first time the Hosanger church is mentioned in the sources is in 1329. It was most probably a Stave church which was replaced at some unknown time. On Christmas Day 1795, lightning struck the church and it burned down. A new brick church was built in the same town the following year.

Vike church, formerly Vike chapel, is a long church built of wood in 1891. The church was designed by Johannes Arnesson Øvsthus. The church is the first in the city.

Seim Church

The Seim church is a wooden "long church" built in 1878. The architect of the church was Johannes Øvsthus. Seim has had a church since the Middle Ages, the first mention of a church on this spot dates back to around 1360. This church was most probably a stave church which was replaced by a wooden church in the 17th century, later destroyed to make way for the present church.
