The church, dedicated to the Archangel Saint Michael, was rebuilt in 1341, and its interior decoration was completed in 1349. The monastery was restored in 1558 and again in 1581. It continued its activity until the 18th century but was abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century. However, it was restored in 1805 by a monk from Detchani. Church of St. George

The Church of St. George was completed in 1917, on the site of an old church, probably dating from the beginning of the 19th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, the local population requested and obtained permission from the Turkish authorities to build a new Orthodox church. The written consent was issued by Sultan Mehmed V (1909-1918) himself. The church was given a basilica structure, characteristic of the period between the 18th and 19th centuries, covered with a gable roof, with three domes, of which the middle one is higher.
