Blomvåg church is a long single-nave church with a choir and a porch of the same width and height as the nave and with a small tower above the porch to the west. The church was built according to the plans of architect Carl Berner in 1931. In the early 1970s, a new sacristy was built perpendicular to the north wall of the choir.
The oldest written record of a church in Herdla is a letter from Pope Eugene III in 1146 which mentions the church of St. Nicholas in Herdla. The present church, however, dates from 1863 after a storm demolished the old church in 1861. This church had to be rebuilt several times as it burned down in 1934 and suffered extensive damage during the Second World War. The church was finally completed in 1951
The Landro church is a 'working church' designed by Aksel Fronth in 1977. In Landro there is also a chapel from 1906, which was converted into a church in 1923.
Hjelme old church is a wooden church built in 1875. The architect of the church was Jacob Wilhelm Nordan (1824-1892).
