The church of St. Nicholas is Catholic and dates from the mid 15th century. In 1880-81, the church was extended by two bays to the east in neo-gothic style. Since then it has had a closed choir on three sides with a single nave. On 10 December 2006, it was reopened after several years of renovation.
The Church of the Holy Spirit dates back to the middle of the 15th century. Founded as a private place of worship, members of the Stier donor family could enter the Wolfgangskapelle, the higher of the two chapels attached to the parish hall in the eastern part, directly from their property, today's Stockhammerhaus.
The Wendelsteinkircherl, or Wendelstein Chapel, was built between 1889 and 1890. It is the highest church in Germany, standing at an altitude of 1,838 metres. Before this church there was a wooden chapel dating from 1718.
Construction of the church of St. Johann of Capistran in Munich began in 1959 and it was consecrated in 1960. It was planned by Sep Ruf, who is also known as the architect of the German Kanzlerbungalow (1963-1966) in Bonn. Ruf combined ancient formal rigour, modern material authenticity and liturgical reform ideas into an impressive spatial unity.
