The church at Farnes is a modernist brick "working church" built in a rectangular shape from 1970. The architect of the church was Per Solemslie of the Arnstein Arneberg architectural firm.

The Årdal church, completed in 1867, was built in wood panelling according to drawings by Chr. Christie. The church has the shape of a basilica with a central raised hall and is characterised by neo-gothic forms and inspiration from Stave churches.
Fortun Stave church, dating from the years 11-1200, was above the road to today's church. The present church was built in wood in 1879. It has a long plan and was designed by the architect E. Rusten. The Stave church was demolished and rebuilt in Fantoft in 1883, together with the Borgund Stave church, but unfortunately, it was burnt down on 6 June 1992.
Dale's church at Luster en Sogn is a stone church from the first half of the 13th century. The church has carvings in soapstone and an interior whose oldest fittings date back to the Middle Ages. The church's naves and choir are rectangular and the choir has just been completed. The porch and the eaves above the west entrance were built in the 17th century.
