Rovde Church

Rovde Church was built by the builder Lars Tornæs from Ålesund in 1872. The church that stands today is the third known church in this town. The oldest church built on this site was a stave church.

The Leikanger church is a wooden church that was built in an octagonal style in 1806 by an unknown architect. It was dismantled and moved to this site in 1872.

Syvde Church

The Syvde church is a long church consecrated in 1837. According to the church law of 1851, the church was too small and had to be enlarged in 1870-71. In 1907 the nave was extended and the church received a new west tower and a new porch. The extension of the sacristy dates from the 1950s. The church was also restored in 1971, 1988 and 2014.
