The Ibestad church was consecrated in 1881. Originally, only a new, larger nave was to be built for the old medieval church on the site, but the choir and sacristy, which dated from the 1770s, were too poor to be restored, so the church was demolished. Most of the stones on the walls of the new church probably came from the old medieval church. The interior is characterized by neo-gothic style.
The Gjesdal Church is a wooden long church dating from 1848. The present church is the fourth in a row on this site, where churches have been erected since the 14th century. The church was built in 1848 according to drawings by the architect Hans Linstow.
The Høle church, in Sandnes, is a wooden church dating from 1860. Its architect is G.T.Bull.
