This church was built in the 11th century in the village of river. It is part of the Church of England and is in the traditional Anglo-Norman style.

St Augustine's is to be found up the hill from the picturesque village green on the right hand side. With its white interior walls repainted in the past few years, it really is a special place for worship, and the acoustics are wonderful for the frequent concerts held there.
St Leonard's is a beautiful church in a beautiful place. It stands high and proud above the town of Hythe, looking towards the coast of France, which can be easily seen on a clear day. Thousands of visitors pass through its doors every year, and enjoy the magnificent architecture and extraordinary crypt.
St Martin's: a community of prayer and welcome in the name of Jesus Christ since before 597AD. The oldest church in continuous use in the English speaking world. Part Roman, part Saxon. It was here that St Augustine set up his mission when he arrived from Rome to convert the English.
