Hablingbo Church

Hablingbo Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland. It is one of the largest churches on Gotland.

About this building

A stave church preceded the present church on the same site. The Romanesque tower of the 13th century is the oldest part of the building. The nave and chancel date from the 14th century and have a Gothic style. Lastly, the altarpiece from the 1600s has a Baroque style. All the portals of the Church are richly decorated. The Choir has remains of wall paintings from the 15th century.
