The church of Sandeid is a wooden long church built in 1904 on a former church from 1814. This old church has itself replaced a stave church.
The Gjerde church was moved to Etne in 1676. It was previously located at Sandviken in Bergen. In 1930 the porch was replaced by a tower with an entrance to the church through the base of the tower. In 1956 the church underwent a major restoration during which the wall paintings were uncovered and painted.
Etne church is a brick church that was built in 2013. The church has a rectangular plan and was designed by architect Arne Tveit.
