Panagia Church, Spilia

The Cave of St John the Hermit in Marathokefala is a sacred place where, according to tradition, the saint retired in the 6th century after his fame had spread over several countries. It was also in this cave where he would have died after having been accidentally shot by a hunter.

The church of St. Stephan (Agios Stefanos) in the small village of Drakona is a historic Byzantine temple built in the 10th century. It is located just 2.5km from Spilia. Some remains of the original frescoes that decorated the walls are preserved.

The Church of Archangel Michael (Michail Archangelos) is an important early Christian basilica situated near the village of Episkopi. It belongs to the Diocese of Kissamos. It is also known as the Rotonda Church or Rotunda Church due to its architectural style.
