Parish Church of St Michael the Archangel

The Parish Church of St. Michael the Archangel is an ancient wooden church linked to the Cistercian Order. It is one of the oldest churches of the UNESCO Wooden Churches in the Małopolska.

About this building

The church dates from 1490 except for the spire, which was added in 1601. The interior is decorated with polychrome work from the 15th and 16th centuries. Among its artefacts, visitors will find a historical cross from 1380, a xylophone from the 15th century and a late-Gothic altarpiece from the 16th century.
