The Ringvassøy church is the work of architect Nils Toft, dating from 1977. The idea of building a church in Hansnes was first proposed in the post-war years, with a first official proposal in 1953. However, work did not progress until the priesthood was also transferred to Hansnes in 1970.

Karlsøy Church is a wooden church built in 1854. The church has a long plan and was built according to one of Hans Linstow's typical designs. The first historical records of Karlsøya church date back to 1419, but the church was probably built in the late 13th century. A new long church was built in 1620, in 1732 the church was repaired and in 1770 an annex was built to make room for more people. In 1790 the church was converted to a cruciform design by adding two side wings.
The church in Helgøy is a long church built in 1889. The church in Helgøy today was moved in January 1888 from Hamn to Senja, where it was rebuilt around 1877. Before that, it was located in Hemnes, Helgeland, and was originally built as a cross church in 1741.
Sengskroken Church is a wooden church that was built in 1962. The church has a long plan and was designed by the architect Knut P. Bugge. The design of the building was the same as that of the Billefjord chapel in Finnmark.
