Saint-Austremoine Church, Egliseneuve-D'Entraigues

In the year 950, a religious building (a church or a baptistery) dedicated to Saint Austremoine, is dependent on the priory of Issoire. If the church dates mainly from the 12th and 13th centuries, it preserves some elements from the 10th century. Its bell-tower-porch, much more recent, dates from 1818.

About this building

To the south-west, an imposing enclosed bell-tower-porch provides access to the building. It is followed by a four-bay long nave, finished by the hemispherical apsidal choir. The nave is flanked by two side aisles.

Church of Saint-Georges, Riom-es-Montagne

The church was originally the priory of the women's abbey of La Vassin (Saint-Donat). During the wars of religion, the church was used as barracks (there are still remains of machicolation).
