Sjernarøy Church

The Sjernarøy church is a long church dating from 1636. The building is made of wood and is built in Renaissance style. Outside the church is painted red, but it was originally tarred. The walls and ceiling inside the church are decorated with pink paint. They were whitewashed in the 19th century, but have been restored. In the 1950s, electric lighting and heating were also installed and the building was insulated. In the church, a memorial has been erected in honour of the author Alfred Hauge (1915-1986), who was from Kyrkjøy.

Hesby Church

Hesby Church is a medieval stone church, built in the 13th century. The church originally had a sturdy west tower, but this was demolished around 1800. The stones protruding from the outside of the west wall are visible traces of this tower. In 1870, the church was given a new porch, with an entrance portal built of recycled stone from the old south portal of the nave. The sacristy was built in 1960.

Nedstrand Church

The church in Nedstrand, which was consecrated on 15 July 1868, is one of the many churches designed by the architect Linstow. The choir resembles that of a stave church, giving the whole room a warmer and more spacious appearance. The altarpiece is from 1611 and has adorned three churches in Nedstrand.

The church of Fogn is a wooden church built in 1991. The church has a rose window in the rose window above the altar, made by Veslemøy N. Stoltenberg. The church is a "working church", a type of church that is suitable for many types of events.
