The church in Nord-Vågsøy, in its present form, replaces a church that burned down in 1945. It is a long concrete church that was consecrated on 24 October 1960 by Bishop Ragnvald Indrebø.
The church of Berle, formerly the Berle Chapel, has been a "working church" since 1977. The building, made of concrete and wood, was designed by the architect Alf Apalseth. Since 1999, the church has been a parish church in the parish of Berle.
