St Elizabeth’s Church, Trybsz

St. Elizabeth’s Church is a log construction from 1567. It is one of the historic wooden churches in the Małopolska province in southern Poland.

About this building

The walls and ceilings have polychrome figurative decoration dating from 1647, most notably the representation of the Assumption and Coronation of Our Lady that covers the ceiling of the chancel. The church lost its spire and sacristy during the reformation works of 1924.
