St Leonard's is the first ‘Actors' Church', as England's first purpose built theatre was nearby, and several important Elizabethan theatre folk, including James and Richard Burbage, are buried in the medieval crypt.

The Princes Street Synagogue in London is an Ashkenazi synagogue built in 1718-19. It was rebuilt in 1870 by John Hudson, in 1892-93 by Lewis Solomon, then in 1928, 1939 and 1983. The brick building now serves as a museum.
The Machzike Hadath (Spitalfields Great) Synagogue in London is an Ashkenazi synagogue built in 1742-43 by architect Thomas Stubbs as the ‘New French Church’. It was rebuilt in 1897 by A.J. Hopkins and in 1957. This brick building in the Georgian style now serves as a mosque.
Brick Lane Mosque is an Islamic place of worship in Central London. The building that houses the mosque had previously housed a church and a synagogue.
