St. Martin's Church

Wiblingen Abbey was founded in 1093 by Counts Hartmann and Otto de Kirchberg. Throughout the Middle Ages, the abbey became famous for its school activities and its strict adherence to the rule of St. Benedict, which made it a stronghold of the Benedictines in Germany. From 1714 onwards, the abbey was modernised. Most of the monuments were transformed into Baroque style, except for the church, which was restored in neoclassical style. The famous library to the north of the abbey was also designed by Wiedemann and completed in 1744. The facade of this building was modelled on that of the Vienna Imperial Library.

The Gallus Chapel of Winterberg, which was consecrated in 2000, is a motorway chapel located close to the Federal Highway 96. The chapel was planned and designed by the architect and former mayor of Leutkirch Georg Zimmer. The planning and construction management was carried out by the architect Georg Heinz from Adrazhofen and the technical construction management by Anton Bodenmüller from Tautenhofen.

The Ulm Synagogue is housed in a contemporary structure built between 2010 and 2012, according to the designs of Kister Scheithauer Gross. The Jewish community centre is housed in the same building. The city's former synagogue was destroyed in 1838 during the Night of Broken Glass.
