Tønsberg Cathedral

Tønsberg Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1858, is located where the medieval church of Lavran stood before it was demolished in 1809-14. The park around the church was the Lavranskirken cemetery. The present church is a long, relatively richly designed neo-gothic church with a west tower, built in unpainted red brick according to the drawings of Chr. H. Grosch.
