Sem Church

The Sem church, which was probably built in the 12th century, is a long stone church with a rectangular nave and a shorter, lower and straighter choir. The red turret with its high spire dates from 1956. The south choir portal, which has been redesigned, is decorated with Romanesque stone reliefs in some of the granite stones. The church is dedicated to St. Olav.

Tønsberg Cathedral

Tønsberg Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1858, is located where the medieval church of Lavran stood before it was demolished in 1809-14. The park around the church was the Lavranskirken cemetery. The present church is a long, relatively richly designed neo-gothic church with a west tower, built in unpainted red brick according to the drawings of Chr. H. Grosch.

Slagen Church

The Slagen church dates from 1901 and was built on the site of the old Slagen church, a simple medieval stone church dedicated to St. Bottolph, which burned down in 1898. The new church building was designed by Halfdan Berle (1861-1929). The interior frescoes, painted by Kåre Øijord, date from the restoration of the church in 1955-1958.

Teie Church

Teie church was built from 1977 by architect Elisabet Fidjestøl. The church is widely used for concerts, meetings, and social events in addition to Sunday school and weekly worship services.
