Aladža Mosque, Foča

The Aladža Mosque is an Ottoman-style mosque rebuilt in 2018.

About this building

The mosque was first constructed in 1549 by Hasan Nezir, the Ottoman Persian supervisor of state goods and finance in Bosnia. Under the Ottoman rule, 17 mosques were built in Foča. The building was blown up in 1992, at the beginning of the Bosnian War (1992-1995). It was reconstructed between 2014 and 2018.
