Şakirin Mosque

The Şakirin mosque is one of the most modern in Istanbul, having opened its doors in 2009. The building was designed by Hüsrev Tayla, known for his work on the Kocatepe Mosque. The interior was designed by Zeynep Fadillioğlu, making Şakirin the first mosque partially designed by a woman.
