Church of the Annunciation, Chisinau

The Church of the Annunciation was built in 1810 on the site of an earlier church which was destroyed by the Ottomans. It is listed in the Register of Monuments of History and Culture of the municipality of Chisinau.

About this building

It is the third oldest church in Chisinau. It was built in the architectural style of the 18th-century churches of Iasi (Romania). In 1893 a library was opened next to the church and in 1895 a church school.
