The earlest part of the church dates back to the end of the mid- 13th century in a typical mix of Gothic and Romanesque styles. After the earthquake of 1656, the chruch was greatly modified in the restoration. Now it is located on a steep slope overlooking the Ebrón river.

Founded by the Augustinians in the 14th century, the Hermitage is an elongated building with white walls and a gabled roof. It became, since the 16th century , the burial place of the town.
The stone hermitage has an elongated plan. It has a gabled steeple embedded. The entrance door is next to the turret, it has a small external atrium or portico.
Founded in the 17th century , the building has undergone several renovations. It is a humble stone building with a gabled roof. Inside the church there is a wooden cross alleged to come from the Garden of Gethesemane.
