Clock Mosque
The Clock Mosque, or Mosque of Abdurrahman Pasha, dates from 1656 but was rebuilt in 1822-23 after a fire. It was also rebuilt in 1992 after its minaret and dome were destroyed by the communist regime in Hoxha.

The Kubelie Mosque dates back to 1736, however, the present building is a reconstruction dating back to 1994. Finally, like many, the mosque was destroyed by the communist regime of Enver Hoxha in 1967.
The monastery of St. John Vladimir, built at the end of the 14th century, is an important monument in medieval Albania, and one of the largest sacred complexes in the country. The monastery was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1944, but the walls painted in the 18th century were spared.
The Pasha Mosque (today Hafiz Patel Mosque) is a small mosque in Elbasan. The old mosque was demolished during the renovation in the 1990s and thus lost the nomination for National Heritage.
