Beautiful neoclassical church with tower. Restoration in 1947. In Bovensmilde, along the Drentse Hoofdvaart, lies the site with the Reformed Church and associated parsonage. Due to its intactness and beautiful location, the complex was declared a national monument in 1995. These national monuments are of both cultural-historical and architectural-historical importance. In 2010, the church building was transferred by the owner, the Protestant community of Bovensmilde, to Het Drentse Landschap. The parsonage followed in 2015. The church was built between 1868 and 1870 and is a so-called Waterstaatskerk. Such churches were built in the period 1824-1875 with financial support from the national government. The building has neoclassical features, such as the symmetrical construction and the use of pediments and cornices. The parsonage dates from 1862 and is eclectic in style. The parsonage is a national monument.

Reformed CHURCH; tower brick building, lower part late Romanesque with lesenes and arched friezes, upper part late Gothic. Low XIV choir. Internal rococo grave monument for lord of the manor Balthasar de Leeuw 1754. Pews and pulpit. (The tower of the church is owned by the municipality of Houten). Mechanical tower clock, probably 1886, later fitted with an unprotected synchronous motor.

Extension in 1919. Demolished in 1961 for new construction.

Cruciform church with roof turret in neo-Gothic forms. Built as a Reformed Church. This is now the church building of the Protestant Church (PKN) in Loenen aan de Vecht. In addition, in Loenen there is also the historic Village Church, as a Reformed Church with a Reformed Bond signature.

There used to be a church building here . There was already a small church in the 11th century. The church building from the 15th and 16th centuries, which was known for its leaning tower, was only partly used by the Reformed community. At that time, there were still remains of old frescoes in the building. On April 23, 1945, the church was destroyed by the Germans.

This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands.

Built to replace the predecessor of this church, which was demolished in 1939. There is a whale on the tower of the church. This whale is a reminder of whaling, which was an important source of income for the village in earlier centuries. The bell from 1388 - elsewhere incorrectly mentioned as originating from Krimpen aan den IJssel - was damaged in 1940 and could no longer ring. The municipal authorities wanted to melt down the bell, but historians put a stop to that. The bell ended up in the Gouda museum, the Catharina Gasthuis. It has since been decided that the bell will return to Krimpen. The current bell was made in 1962 by Van Bergen in Heiligerlee.

This architecturally very interesting, special church (architect JA Smits), with a small tower, was called the "Small Church" since the local SOW / PKN process, opposite the Reformed "Large Church" of Tj. Kuipers. In the long term, the PKN Halfweg-Zwanenburg only wanted to maintain this "Small Church", which was being restored and redesigned for this purpose from around the end of 2009 to spring 2011. Delays in the implementation of these plans arose due to the fact that all of this had to be financed from the proceeds of the (eventually to be demolished) Reformed "Large Church". In terms of architecture and layout, this Small Church is somewhat similar to Anglican churches and cathedrals in Great Britain, especially the elongated and straight-ended choir.
