St. Anthony's Church (formerly dedicated to St. Adelbert); three-sided closed marlstone choir, ca. 1400, flanked by two brick chapels, 15th century; brick tower with niche section, 16th century, the other parts were created during an extension of the church in 1910. The inventory includes: communion rail with carved reliefs, 18th century; two hardstone holy water fonts, 18th century; wooden statues of crucifix, ca. 1700; two Madonnas, respectively from ca. 1700 and 17th century; St. Anthony Abbot, 18th century; St. Peter, 18th century; St. John the Baptist, 18th century; St. Roch, 18th century; alabaster panel with relief representation of the Adoration of the Shepherds; alabaster top piece with representation of the Trinity. In 1904, the Waterstaat church was demolished to make way for a new neo-Gothic church that had been built just north of the Waterstaat church. This church was designed by Caspar Franssen. It is a neo-Gothic cruciform basilica with a crossing tower and a high entrance tower with four sections. Its colourful neo-Gothic interior has been particularly well preserved. The church contains a Pieta by the Den Bosch artist Van de Ven, who died suddenly when it was installed. When swine fever broke out in 1997, a special mass was celebrated in this church, after which various pig farmers maintained a devotion to St. Anthony Abbot.

Roman Catholic Church of St. Anthony Abbot. Brick building dating from the time when the church was elevated from chapel to parish church, 1477. Restored in 1834, restored, renovated and expanded in 1930-'31 by architect HC van de Leur. The following are still medieval of the church building: four bays of the nave and the tower. The nave is single-aisled and covered by cross vaults; the tower consists of three sections, the lower of which is set with lesenes and a pointed arch niche and sound holes at the top; octagonal spire. In the church an oak pulpit with steps and sounding board, first half of the 18th century. Two-manual organ by J. Vollebregt and Son from 1855.

Interesting neoclassical church with historic tower. After the Reformation, the committee that was set up to prepare the construction of the Catholic church in Loenen received permission from King Willem II on 13 February 1846 to start construction. The king gave a subsidy of 6,000 guilders on condition that the church would be built by Waterstaat. The total cost of the church amounted to fl. 13,332.--. The Hackfort family (Kasteel ter Horst) donated a newly built parsonage as well as the land for the church, garden and cemetery, but on condition that they would have the first two pews of the new church at their disposal and that they would have the right to make their own family burial vault in the cemetery. The “Horsten benches” are still in the church. The coats of arms of the Hackfort family and the Van Wijnbergen family are on the doors.

The current neo-Romanesque St. Anthony Abbot Church in Overasselt is one of the characteristic works from the later period of the oeuvre of the architect Carl Weber, in which he drew on late Romanesque architecture in the Rhineland.

In 1897 the church was consecrated. In 1932 there was an additional aisopy and a new priestly choir. The font dates from 1519. From earlier chapels some wooden statues and a 17-century communion bench remain. The altars and crossings are from 1897.

Around the year 1400 there was already a chapel in Enter, which was dedicated to Saint Anthony Abbot. The chapel was destroyed during the Eighty Years' War and was not rebuilt. The Catholics made use of clandestine churches, until the end of the 18th century, when Catholic worship was permitted again. In 1819 a new church was built on the Dorpsstraat in Enter. This was a water board church, which was enlarged in 1851, but in the years 1910-1920 the building was too small again. Demolished in 1927 for new construction .

In the standard work Kerkinterieurs in Nederland (Church Interiors in the Netherlands), Herman Wesselink calls the Antonius Abtkerk "one of the most remarkable churches from the interbellum. (...) The church interior (can) be considered a highlight of Dutch Roman Catholic ecclesiastical art from the twentieth century." (Antonius Abtkerk. Highlight of ecclesiastical mosaic art. In Kerkinterieurs in Nederland, pp. 316-319. Wbooks, 2016. The church was created under the influence of the innovative artist group De Violier. In this group, JE Brom, architect Joseph Cuypers (1861 - 1949) and A. Molkenboer (1872-1960) worked together, among others.
