Roman Catholic Martinus Church, three-aisled cruciform basilica, built in 1891 to a design by architect E. Corbey in Neo-Gothic style. The towers were never completed. The church has a striking location on the Hofke, an old, ring-shaped structure in the Tongelre district, in the line of sight from the Tongelresestraat.

National monument 34068 St..Martinus, 1869-1871, PJHCuypers. Three-aisled cruciform basilica, of which the nave has remained unfinished. Rectangular pillars with bevelled corners and moulded capitals. Triforium and round windows in the clerestory. The transept gables are resolved into climbing series of lancet windows. Cross-ribbed vaults. The buttresses of the side aisles are bricked inwards. The interior is treated as fairwork in various colours of brick and has largely retained the furnishing by the Cuypers-Stoltzenberg studio. Organ with main work, swell work and free pedal, made in 1891 by the Maarschalkerweerd company from Utrecht. Mechanical tower clock, first quarter of the 20th century, manual and electric winding possible.

Older church and monastery. Built in 1809 under temporary kingship of Louis Napoleon, hence the nickname "Louis' Church". Extension of the choir in 1871. Demolished in 1933 to make way for the construction of the current St. Martin's Church .

Heilige Martinus is a Neo-Gothic church from 1882. This church is listed as a Municipal Monument of the Netherlands. The organ was built by Adema-Schreurs Orgelbouw in 1958 for the chapel of the Sisters of Bethany in Bloemendaal. In 1982 the organ was moved to the St. Martinus Church in Noorden.

Tower from 1892, architect G. (Gerard) te Riele. At the beginning of the previous century, the number of parishioners increased significantly, so that a larger church was needed. A new church was built against the existing tower from 1892 (architect G. Gerard te Riele). This neo-Gothic church, designed by H. Hoogenkamp, ​​was consecrated in 1914. At that time, the church had 670 seats. Due to later refurbishment of the church, 552 seats remain. In 1925, the three stained glass windows were installed in the chancel and the tiled floor was replaced by the terrazzo floor from Monasso.

The Stefanuskerk in Zoelen, named after the first martyr, was built in the 15th century. The nave of the church is built in the Lower Rhine style of brick. The walls were plastered white. Here and there bears support the walls of the church. Brick was also used for the construction of the tower. The tower walls were then covered with tuff. The 36-metre high tower rises high above the landscape. The bell that now hangs in the tower was cast in 1950. It bears the inscription "I mourn the dead and call the living to their God". This bell replaces the bell from 1924, which was removed by the Germans in 1943. The pulpit was made in 1641. The pulpit Bible dates from 1657. A funeral board from 1603 hangs in the church. During restoration work, graves of the Vijgh and Pieck families were found. These families lived in Zoelen Castle in the 17th and 18th centuries respectively. The organ was built in 1895 by the organ building family Van Dam.

Neo-Gothic church building with high tower from 1956-1957, designed by the architectural firm Th.J. van Elsberg (Almelo). The church was built using demolition material from the previous church, designed by A. Tepe, which was partially destroyed in April 1945. The furnishings and interior date from the period after the reconstruction. The stained glass windows were designed by AP Stokhof-De Jong and depict scenes from the Old and New Testaments.

Roman Catholic church with front tower, built in 1869-1870 in neo-Gothic style to a design by architect P. Soffers. The interior was completed in 1871 and the church was consecrated on 2 May 1871. The bricks for the construction came from the nearby former brickworks in the Burgpolder.
