Ontmoetingskerk

Heerhugowaard, NL

Built as a Reformed Church. Three-aisled pseudo-basilica with tower from 1870. The exterior shows a very eclectic round arch style with remarkably shaped buttresses. The interior, however, is still quite pronounced neoclassical in character with its heavy columns and stucco barrel vault. Galleries have been installed in the side aisles. Little remains of the original interior. Organ from 1873 by P. Flaes, extended in 1986 by Scheuerman & Zoon (Rotterdam) with a free pedal.
