s-Hertogenbosch, NL
Former Roman Catholic Maria Geboortekerk, in 2000 Reformed Church Liberated. The church building, which had fallen into some disrepair, was renovated at the time. The interior was slightly modified, with respect for the original architecture, including the original granite floor. Furthermore, the focal wall was changed, such as the artistically designed modern pulpit and baptismal font. On the left in the side wall is an artistically designed panel, which is "folded shut" during "Lent" and "folded open" again on Easter Sunday. On the left front on the side wall is an organ by the Gebr. Reil, Heerde, ao. 1963, renovated in 1983, with the console moved from the side to the front. This organ was therefore located in the previous church building of the Reformed Church Liberated. Once again extensively renovated, in connection with placement in the current building, by Pels & Van Leeuwen Kerkorgelbouw, Den Bosch, and put into use on 27 October 2001. Right above the entrance door of this complex is a memorial stone with the year 1962 and the name "Gereformeerde Kerk". Presumably this stone comes from the previous church building, and the name was added later. The members of this congregation of the Geref. Kerk Vrijgemaakt (Reformed Church) at a certain point, during a consultation about what to call their church building, declared themselves in favour of the official name "Gereformeerde Kerk" (partly because in the meantime the denomination "Gereformeerde Kerk" in 's-Hertogenbosch had already become "Samen op Weg", now PKN).
