Reformed Church and tower, situated on a churchyard. Simple village church from 1774. The church contains a richly carved pulpit with a rear bulkhead and sounding board from 1699. The organ was made in 1874 by L. van Dam and Sons. It has a bell tower with a bell by G. van Wou, from the 1500s. The mechanical tower clock was made by Gebr. van Bergen in 1918.

Simple, in 1641 on the site of an older predecessor, built of brick CHURCH BUILDING, on a rectangular foundation. The tower, built in two sections, under an equally constricted slate-covered tent roof and with a sober entrance, located within a pointed arched recessed panel with a round window under a Tudor-style arch; sound holes within pointed arched recessed panels; rod anchors. The straight-closed nave, covered by a hipped roof covered with tiles, supported by buttresses with tiled offsets and provided with Tudor-style pointed arch windows in the rear and side facades; door and several small windows. The following interior elements are of interest internally: three 17th century copper crowns and a late 17th century (17th century) copper lectern. Church building with some interior elements of interest because of their architectural and art historical value.

Reformed church. Single-nave late Gothic church with three-sided choir closure and simple tower, the upper part of which has three high unprofiled round-arched niches in three facade surfaces, probably 16th century. The church is covered with a wooden barrel vault on tie beams. South Wall renewed in the 19th century. The inventory includes: a simple 17th century pulpit, with 18th century lectern and four simple 19th century pews. Oak bell frame with bell by G. Butendiic, 1436, diam. 85.2 cm.

Neo-Gothic church with historic tower. Church built in 1833 on a T-shaped plan against a tower from the first quarter of the 16th century.

In 1678 rebuilt church from old material; framed entrance on the north side with stone inscription concerning the construction. In the church simple pulpit XVIII, four 17th century gravestones, two text boards as in Aalsum. Single manual organ, made in 1818 by JA Hillebrand. The 13th century clock has been transferred to the Friesch Museum in Leeuwarden. Mechanical wrought iron tower clock, has been decommissioned.

Charming, richly detailed small neo-Gothic church with tower, at the bottom of the high dike on site. Various extensions. Reformed Church Strijen, district municipality "Ichthus". This church is listed as a Municipal Monument of the Netherlands.

The history of the church in Giessen goes back to the 11th century. During a study between 1958 and 1960, foundation remains of a tuff stone hall church of 16 x 8 metres were found on the east side, adjacent to the church. Due to flooding in 1275, the western part of the church was washed away and the building collapsed. Approximately eleven years later, in 1286, reconstruction began, with the nave being given the same dimensions. The remaining part of the foundation was used for this. In addition, a three-sided closed choir was built onto the nave. Some time later, a transept chapel was added to the northern side.

The polder Oud-Herkingen was probably first diked in 1420. At that time, this polder belonged to the monastery of the Regulars of Rugge in Brielle and to the Carthusian monastery in Zelem. These monasteries rented the polder to shepherds. This polder did not exist for long. In 1484, Herkingen was diked again. On 9 July of the same year, the chapel that had been built was elevated to parish church by the bishop of Utrecht, David of Burgundy. The chapel was dedicated to Saint Cornelius and was incorporated into the monastery of the Regulars of Rugge. This polder did not exist for long either, because a flood was already reported in 1511. The chapel that had been built was probably washed away. Many floods would follow in the 16th century.

Dutch Reformed Church. Straight-ended neoclassical hall church, consecrated on 26 December 1850, with a facade tower with openwork lantern and constricted spire.
